More audio development and putting the matrix on a diet…

I had a couple of slow days due to getting a covid-19 booster. I was mostly worthless yesterday. Better today.

Expanded the code for the audio piece to have the capacity for 12 simultaneous voices. The 12 can be a mix of waveforms or wavetables (sampled sounds). It all seems to be working so moving on to adding user controls and more cord progressions (I have grown weary of ABACAB).

Also managed to rework the 8 x 8 matrix displays to meet the gallery requirement of no more than 1.5 inches thick. That was relatively simple, just busted it apart, cut new sides and snapped it back together. It was easy because I had not used very much glue to assemble them the first time (I have the press fit thing working really well in 1/8th Baltic birch). Used a bit more glue this time . I am thrilled that my son wanted one of these for his room. That is a first. The other 2 are headed to the gallery tour preview and silent auction.

This nifty design tool helps generate the code for the audio board.
