Word Clocks
Word clock time again in my shop. Sales this spring have depleted some stocks in the local galleries, so it was time to get busy. I ended up burning through my entire stock of clock brains and all my custom boards. Time to either order more boards or look into an update. A quick search for the ideal board (small footprint, 5 volt logic, capacity of the trinket M0, built in RTC) yielded nothing. Thus, I am sticking with the current proven design. Made a small change to the artwork and ordered the boards and all the components. I am thus committed to more clocks and I sense a serious soldering party in my future.
I am focused mainly on the Mirror Faced clocks lately. There are a host of possible colors available. The material is relatively easy to work with and looks great in the medium and large sized clocks. Today I found some that might also work in the smaller size clock. The current stuff is too thick for that design to work well. Check out all the colors.
I built a few with the following colors: red, pale gold, orange, rose gold, bronze, electric blue and purple. Have been trying out different patterns on the back too.
To get your own word clock, head to Tracy Park Gallery in Malibu or Compound Contemporary Gallery in Thousand Oaks. If you are not local to those great galleries, you can order the 8 x 8 word clock, my #1 seller, from my Etsy shop. I have added shipping costs to the price so they cost a tiny bit more on Etsy. For the best pricing, for supporting local galleries, and for being able to see and touch before you buy, find me in a gallery.
